AFAS Live, (formerly known as the Heineken Music Hall), is a large concert hall complex designed for live events and concerts. The larger hall has a capacitiy of up to 5500 visitors. A smaller hall inside the complex has room for up to 700 people. The complex also has several restaurants and food stands. Many artists both national and international have performed at the AFAS Live.
AFAS Live is named after the software company AFAS, which is currently its main sponsor. Until September 2016 it was known as the HMH. The building was built between 1996 and 2001 and was specifically designed for for amplified music. Although designed specially for concerts it is also used for other types of business and cultural events.
AFAS Live is located in Amsterdam Zuidoost near the Amsterdam Arena, the Bijlmer Arena train station and the main shopping area of the Bijlmer, making it especially suited for larger concerts and events. It caters to around 600.000 visitors per year.
