Betty Asfalt Complex is a small and intimate theatre located on the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal in Amsterdam-Centrum.
Apart from being the home base of artist Paul Haenen, it is also both a stage for new talent, and for intimate small scale performances for more established theatre personalities. The Betty Asfalt theatre hall has a capacity of 115 visitors.
The theatre is housed in a monumental building dating back to the 18th century. It was first used as a theatre in the 1960's by a cabaret theatre group named Tingel Tangel.
The theatre was bought by Paul Haenen and a companion in 1989, after which it was renamed the Betty Asfalt Complex.
