EYE is the Dutch national museum for film. The EYE Film Museum is located on the IJpromenade in Amsterdam Noord.
The EYE museum's film collection counts more than 40.000 historic films of all genres and corners of the world.
EYE's film showings are programmed during the days and evenings in four cinemas located inside the museum.
The museum also organises film-historic themed exhibitions inside a dedicated exhibition space, and also has an entire floor dedicated to educational activities.
The EYE building is a a striking piece of modern architectural design on the side of the IJ river. It was designed by Delugan Meissl architects, which specializes in buildings that appear to be in motion.
